With today's Eerie Cuties update, we start sort of a mini crossover with Magick Chicks. The story that will run on each site will be self contained to each series, but they will cross path at one point. So if you're not reading one or the other, you may want to follow the next chapter of each series, as you'll be seeing characters cross over between series. Hope you enjoy!

Also, the book is at the printer and we should have it in hand at the end of the month and we'll start shipping as soon as we get it. After some thought over the weekend, we've decided to add Magick Chicks as a co-feature in the new Eerie Cuties volume. It was our original intent, and we weren't sure if we should do it or not at the time of the pre-order announcement. After crunching numbers, we now think it makes more economic sense for us to do so, otherwise, we don't think we'd be able to print Magick Chicks until 2013. The pre-order price won't change from now until November 3/11. After that, we'll have to bring up the price by $2. We've also added a 5th bonus card that will feature our 3 witches at no extra cost. The format will now be manga size, and total page count is 192 pages. Hope you enjoy the added bonus at no extra cost! Thanks again for your support, guys!--Gisele

We are now taking pre-orders for volume 1 of Eerie Cuties! Yay! For those wondering why it's not volume 2, well, the reason is simple; considering the change in format & all, we figured it was best to start fresh and call the first one "volume 0." The format will remain the same, but the book will be thicker than the previous one. It collects chapters 1 through 4: Girls just wanna have fun, Store-bought, War Dance, and Sisterly Love. Plus, this collection will include the print-exclusive bonus story "Datebusters," which follow Ace & Brooke on their first date (oh, so much fun!) Like last year, we are also making a collector's edition available which comes signed with 4 color pin-up postcards. This year, the postcards will feature Layla & Brooke, girl Ace & Kade, Maria & Chloe, and Becky & Blair. We only have a snippet of the work in progress on the Layla & Brooke one shown at the store, but we'll revise with small previews of the 4 postcards within the next two weeks.

Pre-orders will last till the end of October for the collector's edition, and we'll take it from there on if we'll continue to take orders for the collector's edition after that. We need to determine how many we need to print. If pre-orders are good, we'll print more than needed, if not, we'll print only what is necessary. We expect to start shipping mid-November, so you should have the book in hand sometime in December. :)

A few months ago, I got to draw two stories for an upcoming Archie double digest (#221). Well, it's coming out this week in comic book stores and next week on the newsstands. I had a lot of fun drawing it, and what made it even more fun is that I got Shouri as my inker. She's credited correctly as Shouri on one story, but incorrectly credited as Maria Robado on the other (should've been Maria Victoria Robado or Shouri) In any case, it doesn't change the fact that we got to do 2 stories for this digest. We both had fun, and we hope to do more in the future. Here's a review for you with 2 samples pages that we did, and be sure to check it out in your local comic book shop or on newsstands.--Gisele

Just an FYI that I'll be taking the first week of August off, so in the meantime, on both Eerie Cuties and Magick Chicks, we'll be running guest strips or pin-ups. You're in good hands though as Shouri has taken on pencil duties (as well as inks) to produce these guest strips and pin-ups. Eerie Cuties is going back to its Mon & Wed update schedule for the next little while. We'll try and bring it back to three times a week once we build a bit of buffer. And we're back! Hope the b&w isn't scaring you too much. Hopefully, in time, you'll get used to it. Again, the main reason for this decision is so that we can produce more pages, and be able to start Magick Chicks in the New Year. We hope you'll like the new full page format. It'll certainly allow us to experiment more with our storylines. Thanks again to all the artists who helped out with guest strips during our short break. We've decided to extend the availability of the Collector's Edition. Our decision was based on the fact that we like the "Blair & bikini tops" postcards so much, that we went ahead and ordered more printed than we need. Soooo... we'll keep accepting orders for the Collector's Edition for at least the first half of November. The book and postcards are at the printer being printed as we speak. We're expecting them around the 12th of November. Shipping will start the week of the 15th. Thank you so much everyone for your support. You make it happen!--Gisele :)

It's finally time to take pre-orders for our first Eerie Cuties print collection! Yay! If you go to the store link, you'll get all the details on what's available. We have a Regular Edition and a Collector's Edition. The Collector's edition comes with 4 "Blair & Bikini Tops" postcards, and is signed by us. You can see a sneak peak of the postcards on the store page. The book also includes a 6 page "The Kissing Booth" bonus story (there's a preview page link on the store page as well.) We need your pre-orders to make this happen, so please support us if you want to see this book in print! :)

So what's next for EC? The End? No-no! From now until November 1st, EC will continue to update 3 times a week (M-W-F) with awesome guest strips drawn by very talented artists, and written mostly by Dave, so EC will continue to feel very EC until then. On November 3rd, we relaunch EC in a new full page format à la manga style. There won't be color, but to compensate, we'll continue to update 3x a week at least until Christmas. Then in the New Year, we launch an EC spin-off called Magick Chicks. Guess who's gonna star in that! ;) We plan on showing behind the scenes in November and December, and the launch will be in January of 2011. At that time, both EC and MC will update 2x a week. So lots of stuff happening here. Hope you're happy about what we have planned. --Gisele

On October 8th, we posted a strip that didn't sit well with some of our readers. After much debate, we decided that if we could come up with an alternative we both agreed on, and that it didn't affect our storyline, we'd do it. We're actually quite happy with the alternative. Now... people are wondering what were the complaints. Let me just clarify that it wasn't in any way about homophobia, it was more about mind-control, and on who it was applied to and what for. Some felt the strip had lost a bit of its innocence. To those who were interested in Brooke's exploration of her sexuality, let me reassure you that it will be dealt with again, and with Brooke having full control over her thoughts and desires. We touch on it in the bonus story of the upcoming book, and in the next arc as well. So do not feel like we've abandoned this or changed what's coming next because of this change. For those wanting to read the old strip, we've moved it to the "extras" section of the site.--Gisele

With today's update, we welcome Shouri of Springiette as inker on Eerie Cuties. Shouri is extremely talented, and we couldn't be happier to have her on board.
